Mission

The purpose of the Division is to promote professional interest, communications, and competence of experts in the phospholipid and lecithin field. The Division works toward international cooperation in this field by bringing together scientists from around the world to share information about phospholipids and lecithins. The Division works to unite professionals to research and understand the following areas related to phospholipids: physical and chemical methods used to quantify lecithins; practical applications in baking, confections, meats, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals; and improvements in making emulsification systems. The Division maintains a close working relationship with the International Lecithin and Phospholipid Society (ILPS).

Newsletters
Members of the Phospholipid Division receive 3 newsletters per year which contain information relevant to the Phospholipid audience.
