AOCS ANNUAL MEETING SPECIAL

New Board Members, by Brent Flickinger

Our Division board consists of a chairperson, a vice chairperson, secretary and treasurer. These are elected for two-year terms, and the terms of the current board members end this spring. New elections will therefore be held in the coming months. 

It has been our tradition that the vice chairperson be the nominee-designate for the chairperson position, the secretary be the nominee-designate for the vice-chairperson and the treasurer be the nominee-designate for the secretary position if s/he is willing to run for these offices. All Division members are welcomed and encouraged to nominate additional individuals for these board positions - especially for the treasurer position. 

The proposed slate of candidates would be: 

Chairperson: Pete Huth, consultant

Vice chairperson: Eileen Bailey, Martek; Matt Pikosky, Dairy Council

Secretary: Carol Lammi-Keefe, Louisiana State University

Treasurer: open

Please send your nominations to me at flickinger@admworld.com by March 7. In mid-March Division members will receive information from the AOCS on voting for the 2008-2010 Health & Nutrition Division Board.
